What is a Variant Table?

For those who didn’t come across a variant table yet, here is a small explanation of what it is. A variant table is used to categorize similar parts and present them in a single drawing. These parts may only vary in parameters like length, diameter, quantity, etc. It allows the engineers to create a single drawing template that works for various similar parts.  

Following images shows an example of the variant table for a Bolt. It allows 3 different lengths of the same Bolt to be defined in a single drawing. The quantity can also be varied simultaneously.
