Feasibility Analysis
Automatically Check In-coming RFQs
Receiving RFQs that don’t match your machines?
Receiving technical drawings whose specifications are difficult to achieve with your technology or machinery? Are you an Additive Manufacturer who receives many drawings with tolerances below the minimal threshold?
How Werk24 technology can help:
The Werk24 Artificial Intelligence automatically reads the crucial information from technical drawings and compares it with the minimum and maximum threshold values you defined. Now, you can automatically check in-coming RFQs!
Calling customers to discuss infeasible requirements?
Is the operations team busy calling your customers to discuss production feasibility?
Werk24’s solution:
With the Werk24 FeasabilityAnalysis product, you can automatically suggest feasible alternatives for requirements that have been identified as difficult. Are tight radii difficult to manufacture with your technology? Simply suggest the smallest feasible alternative.
Key Features
-
Measure Tolerance (min. tolerance)
Measure Tolerances can take many forms: fits, off-sizes, tolerance classes, International Tolerance Grades (IT) to name but a few. In addition, the general tolerances need to be considered. Werk24 allows you to define rules in the standard that you feel most comfortable with, and we automatically handle the conversion.
-
Thread (min. thread diameter & types)
Threads pose challenges to different manufacturing technologies, especially when the nominal diameter becomes small. Werk24 lets you define specific rules and automatically applies these rules to ISO-metric, UTS, Whitworth threads etc.
-
Radius (min. radius)
Printing and molding small radii or radii with small tolerances can become a challenge. Our Technology extracts the Radii, applies the General Tolerances and allows you to define filter rules
-
GD&T (min. tolerance per characteristic)
GD&Ts are not only limiting the printing direction in additive manufacturing cases, but can be a challenge for many technologies. Werk24 allows you to define rules specific to each GD&T characteristic.
-
Material (supported materials)
Material names are often industry specific. Screw manufacturers frequently specify 12.9 as Material. Werk24 handles a wide range of steel conversions and automatically converts them to EN10027 Material Codes.
FAQs
What manufacturing constraints can be defined?
We are very flexible in the definition of filtering rules. You can define rules that include a combination of the following attributes:
Material as whitelist (EN 10027 for steel or EN 573 for aluminium)
Nominal Measure Distances
Tolerance Width
Fits
International Tolerance Grades
Thread Diameters
Thread Types
Thread Pitches
General Tolerances (EN2768)
Tolerance and Extend requirement for each Geometric Dimensioning & Toleration (GD&T) class
Can I use the Feasibility Check as E-Mail filter?
We are looking for partners to develop this. Please reach out to us if this interests you.
Can you also extract part-specific attributes, such as the maximal diameter for turning parts?
Depending on your industry and the complexity of the files you typically deal with, we can make this information available to you.
