Werk24’s AI tool has piqued the interest of Robert Weber who is a specialist journalist for industrial topics and author of “KI in der Industrie”.

Robert Weber covered the Siemens Event “AI with Purpose” as media partner. The Siemens with Purpose Summit ’22 event took place with the Munich-based company that invited a round of AI startups for the first time since Siemens interests on an ecosystem of startups to ‘develop robust solutions for the market’ with AI automation. One of the main topics was the successful collaborations and partnerships with AI based start-ups. Werk24 was among the companies invited to the event.

Werk24 does not have a data dilemma! The Machine Learning model is further trained every month with over 100,000 technical drawings with the idea behind it: The AI reads technical drawings and provides drawing legends, dimensions, tolerances, threads, chamfers, radii, and surface quality. But where did this idea come from? Jochen Mattes, CEO at Werk24, realized the need to simplify the technical drawing process while he observed an engineer printing out a technical drawing who was looking for the lowest tolerance value and stood in front of it for half an hour. So, the dreams come true with the solution that follows the idea.

The challenge originates in the industry’s practice of sending engineering drawings as PDFs to each other while sourcing parts or components.
