Additive Analysis
Check 3D-Printability Based on Drawings
Working towards Digital Inventory but unsure where to start?
Are you looking to reduce you Inventory costs by checking 3D-printability of spare parts on demand, based on Drawings? But you do not know exactly which parts are suitable for additive manufacturing?
How Werk24 technology can help
Werk24 allows you to upload your complete drawing archive and automatically assess the 3D-printability of each drawing concerning a range of Additive Technologies.
Key Features
-
Additive Technology
The range of Additive Technologies is huge, including Fused Deposition Molding (FDM), Selective Laser Sinthering (SLS) or Stereolithography (SLA). They all have their specific limits. Werk24 evaluates the print-ability with regards to these Technologies.
-
Outer Dimensions
The Outer Dimensions of the part often limiting the Technologies that can be used. Werk24 extracts this information automatically from the Technical Drawings
-
Tolerance
Achieving tight tolerances with additive technologies often require a subsequent milling step. This frequently tips the scale in favor of CNC manufacturing.
FAQs
Can I integrate this service into my own platform?
Yes! The API is available and easy to integrate: pip install werk24.
Can I define a custom manufacturing Technology?
The API currently does not allow you to do so, but do reach out to us - making this work for you is easy.
Are geometric attributes such as “pin size” checked as well?
The current version does not check geometric attributes, but our software already converts the 2D Drawing into a 3D approximation. This will allow us to check these attributes in the future.
